Rev. Fr. Antoon Van Overveld, C.I.C.M. (1934-1937)

Born: April 24, 1901

Died: December 19, 1953

Fr. Van Overveld arrived in the Philippines on September 18, 1927. The remains of Fr. Van Overveld was laid to rest at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pulang Lupa, Las Pinas City but was transferred in CICM Home Sweet Home, Baguio City. (photo and name: CICM Archive)





Rev. Fr. Adolf Cansse, C.I.C.M. (1937-1952)

Died: June 30, 1974

Fr. Cansse arrived in the Philippines on October 30, 1923. The remains of Fr. Cansse is still at the CICM Cemetery in Baguio City. He is a civil engineer, and one of the designer of the Baguio Cathedral, with the help of the other CICM priests and 25 Igorot carpenters. (photo and name: CICM Archive)





Rev. Fr. Louis Thijs, C.I.C.M. (1952-1977)

Fr. Thijs arrived in the Philippines on October 22, 1946. The remains of Fr. Thijs was laid to rest in Kessel-Lo, Belgium.

Rev. Fr. Paul Foulon, C.I.C.M. (1977-1991)

Ordained Priest: August 3, 1958


Fr. Paul Foulon is a Roman Catholic Missionary Priest from Belgium. He belonged from the missionaries of the Congregatio Immaculati Cordis Mariae (CICM), otherwise known as the Congregation of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. He became a member of the Congregation (CICM) on Sepetember 8, 1953. He arrived in the Philippines on November 2, 1960 and was assigned as a Assistant Parish Priest and also a Assistant Principal of St. Andrew's School. On the year 1976, he assumed the position of full time Parish Priest and Director of St. Andrew's School. In the late 1991, Fr. Paul was transferred to Maryhill School of Theology in New Manila, Quezon City, and on 1994 he assumed the position being the Parish Priest of Holy Rosary Parish in Tala, Calookan City until he retired on May 2012. He was given an award by the Asian Catholic Publisher, Inc. as a Catholic Author Awardee on September 13, 1997. During his stint in Tala, he served in Tala Leprosarium, where he lived with the community of lepers and sick people. Fr. Rev. Fr. Frans Gevaert, C.I.C.M. (1991-1994)

Born: June 04, 1932 in Merksem, Belgium

Ordained Priest: Augsut 3, 1958

Died: August 3, 2023 in Malle, Belgium


Fr. Gevaert is the last CICM School Director of St. Andrew's School. Fr. Gevaert continued his missionary work in the Mabuting Pastol Parish in Quezon City, and operated the parish-based child protection project (Salvatorian Pastoral Care for Children). Fr. Frans advised that the project must operate under the umbrella of the Justice and Peace Committee. Thus, the project was launched on the said parish on May 18, 2002 in New Manila, Quezon City. He was also a missionary in other countries like DR Congo (Kasayi), Zambia, Italy and Belgium. (photo: CICM Archive)
